Simply stack your Time Capsule on top of the Safe Capsule, connect via USB port, and your safe network storage is ready to go! Designed with the protection of your data in mind The Safe Capsule is designed with RAID 1 mirroring technology that provides the highest level of data backup/protection. Two independent drives are contained within the Safe Capsule. One is the primary source for data read/writes and the second drive "mirrors" the first with an exact copy of all your data. Even if one of the drives was to ever malfunction, you'll always have the other as a complete source to continue using. Optional storage mode The optional non RAID mode allows you to set up the drives as two independent volumes where you may utilize each differently for various applications. User-friendly status indicator Besides the standard power and drive activity indicators, when a new drive has been installed, the Safe Capsule allows you to visually confirm the percentage status of the data rebuilding process. Double the protection for your Time Machine backups Use the Safe Capsule as an alternative storage source for your Time Machine backups.
